Opening a Bank Account in the UK is relatively straight-forward. There’s two ways you can do this:
Online
If you have all the necessary documents, you should be able to choose a bank and apply for a bank account through their online platform.
In Person, at a Branch
You can go to a Branch of your bank of choice, and ask to open a bank account. Usually they have staff who can do this for you on the spot, although you may need to book an appointment in advance in busy Branches.

📄 Documents you need to open a Bank Account

To open a bank account in the UK as a resident, you will need a proof of address document in addition to your personal ID. The Below documents are often accepted as Proof of Address:
Utility Bills
They must include your current address in the UK and your full name.
Tenancy agreement
It must include your current address in the UK, dated and signed by both yourself and the agent/landlord. It should also include your full name.
HMRC Letter
This can be for example a letter confirming your National Insurance Number or any other official communication from HMRC sent to your home address.
Other
You can always ask the Bank Reps what other documents they may accept in addition to the ones mentioned. They can sometimes extend some flexibility.
