The Process of applying for a Visa in the UK

If you are moving to the UK for a job, your employer may be able to take care of your visa application. Ask them about the process and implications to enter the country for you.

Getting your National Insurance Number

Your National Insurance Number (NI) is a unique code that ensures your National Insurance Contributions and Tax are recorded against your name. You need a National Insurance Number to get paid in the UK and receive payroll from your employer.To request your NI you will need the following:
Proof of Identity
You need one of the following documents to prove your identity:

- A passport from any country
- A biometric residence permit (BRP)
- A national identity card from an EU country , Norway, Liechtenstein or Switzerland
Right to Work
You need to have the legal right to work in the UK, which you obtain alongside, or after you get your VisaSecure the document that can serve as Proof of your Right to Work Here.

Immigration Salary List for the Skilled Worker Visa

Since 4th of April of 2024, the UK has set a minimum salary for different Skilled worker Visas. The annual salaries for these jobs are based on a 37.5-hour working week. They must be pro-rated for other working patterns, based on the weekly working hours stated by your employer.
⚠️ You qualify for the lower rate if either:  

- You are applying for a Health and Care Worker Visa in certain occupations
- You got your certificate of sponsorship for your first Skilled Worker visa before 4 April 2024 and have continually held one or more Skilled Worker visas since then
