‍Cl@ve is an electronic system for citizens in Spain ran by the “Agencia Tributaria” (The Tax Agency). It provides access to a number of public services, some of which are only available online.

‍Why do I need access to Cl@ve?

‍Cl@ve can be used to access a variety of public services offered by Spanish government agencies, including tax filing, social security benefits, healthcare services, employment services, and more.You’ll need Cl@ve access to submit your tax assessment every year, and if you want to apply to a the Tax Reduction Scheme for Expats (known as Beckham’s Law), you will need to do it via Cl@ve.

‍What if I don’t get access now?

‍You can always apply for access in the future, but the earlier you get it the better, so that it’s there for you when you need to make queries or changes about your tax.
